  1. I think that is my pet, Peeve. Any time a writer or news reporter refers to the Ides of {some month or other} they need to remember, “In March, July, October, May, the Ides are on the fifteenth day. The Nones the seventh; but all besides Have two days less for Nones and Ides.” It should be taught in Journalism 101 along with how to take shorthand and how to drink most of the day without showing it.
