  1. It irritates me to no end that the entire premise of this story is based on the popular misunderstanding of what a “dead language” is. Latin is used, is useful, is quite lively, and is beyond all doubt dead. And there are distinct advantages to making use of a dead language.

    Why don’t educators take the opportunity to educate?

    1. Rather than ‘dead’, I’ve been thinking we should start referring to it as a ‘gps language’ … it guides you through a lot of other stuff with ease …

      1. I tend to refer to it as a zombie language: it’s dead but surprisingly lively, and it will eat your brain.
