The Department of Classics at the University of Tennessee invites applications for a one-year, full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer for the 2014-15 academic year. Ph.D.
required at commencement of appointment.  Demonstrated excellence in teaching classical languages required. Primary responsibility will be teaching introductory and intermediate Latin and Greek. There is a possibility to teach an undergraduate course in literature
in translation. Teaching load is 12 hours/semester or 24 hours/academic year. Salary: $34,000 plus benefits.
