That’s a real shame. I spent a couple hours in those ruins in the summer of 1973. The climb up there sweated out a killer hangover from the previous night in Sorrento, too.
Oh god I am so glad you posted this. I spent a week rambling around the Villa Jovis in 2006. I’m returning to Capri for a week in May and this is disconcerting!
Hopefully it will be open in May (it’s no longer off season then) and I will look into this and take photographs and video.
